Markesan Elementary is part of Markesan District Schools (Top 10 in the state). The elementary provides education for students in our early childhood program through fifth grade (EC-5). Our school's caring and dedicated staff focus on core academic subjects, while also enriching our students in daily art, music, and physical education classes. The staff is determined to build a positive relationship with every student, and committed to enhancing that relationship on a daily basis.

We currently have 370 students in our #HornetFamily. There are 3 sections of students in four-year old kindergarten through fifth grade. We have incorporated the Hornet Habits (Chart) as our positive behavior initiative. Students are able to earn incentives and enjoy quarterly assemblies.

The students day starts at 8:05 and runs until 3:12. Students enter the classroom at 7:50. Breakfast is offered from 7:45-8:15 (note on late start days there will not be breakfast).
