Residents of Markesan District Schools will vote April 5, 2022 on a referendum question seeking to allow the district to exceed the state's revenue limit by $950,000 annually for four years to maintain quality schools, education and programs and remain near the state average in funding for student learning.
The Board of Education voted unanimously January 12 to place this question on the spring ballot:
Shall the Markesan District Schools be authorized to exceed state revenue limits on a non-recurring basis by $950,000.00 in each of four (4) consecutive years for the 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25, and 2025-26 school years to maintain school district programs and operations?
